HK Trip (Day 3)
Been going to NIE for some enrichment courses such as NE, Health Talk.. etc recently (to prepare us when sch r-opens). Well, I dun wish to comment much on this then. But I actually survived the whole aftnoon today w/o electricity, in other words, no fan, no TV, no going online.... for 8 hrs... Luckily, I wasnt feeling well so got this sleepy feeling the whole day. Jus nua on the bed and trying to sleep with the(drilling and hammering) noise jus right outside my house. Actually, I am impressed of myself. Haha... Finally, ther's electricity and ther's nothing much to do so I better continue telling u more abt my HK trip if not as time goes by, my memory will fade. Recently, got 失意症, keep forgetting things... On day 3 in HK, as usual, SK's parents woke up super early so I din have a choice but to wake up early too. SK's parents had to go come back to sg around 3pm to catch 6pm flight. And as usual, shops dun open so early so we went to Victoria Park @ Causeway Bay 铜锣湾 for a walk as Sk's mum likes to see park, flowers... Aft tat, we managed to find a place to have our breakfast. Had running nose so din eat much... :( Aft breakfast, we went to shop at Causeway Bay. 1st stop was SOGO and then we proceeded to Giordano. Din get anything bcos 1) the things there are so expensive, 2) I din wan to let his parents wait so I din dare to try any clothes and 3) they had to catch a flight so we were rushing for time. We wanted to have the famous wanton noodles near Times Square but the queue was super long so we had lunch elsewhere. Oh.. I rem. Must really try this when u r in HK. I forgot wat it's called. But they wrapped preserved veg and pork floss in you tiao and then wrapped the whole thing with sticky rice. 1st time i see this, really amazing.. i think it tastes quite good but u will feel v full to eat the whole thing. Anyway, this is saltish one. They also have a sweet one. Instead of pork floss and preserved veg, they put white sugar. This is quite popular there. Many pple queue up to buy...
Wanted to take this tram 电车 but din have a chance.
This is the strange food I am toking abt.
Rice + you tiao + pork floss + preserved veg
HK Trip (Day 4)
We intended to go Ocean Park on Day 4 but looking at the money we had left, we decided to drop the idea. Plus, it was raining super heavy tat day. As his parents had went back to sg, I could sleep till 930am. So happy and feeling refreshed tat morning. Haha... Looking at the weather, I was lazy to go out but SK dragged me out to do sme shopping. I admitted I really will cry if I jus ended my shopping on day 3 so as promised, SK brought me to Espirit Warehouse aft breakfast. Wow... the shop's super big. So many clothes... I almost fainted... Well, to cut things short, we spent abt 3 hrs there partly bcos it was pouring and partly we / I couldnt stop shopping there. So many things to see, to try, to buy.... So in the end, we spent S$300 there. Yes, it's over our budget but heck lah cos majority are presents for my family too. I seriously dun think I can get anything elswher for them so might as well as them at Esprit. It was still pouring when we left Esprit. We went to SOGO again cos SK wan to buy coke cans. Luckily we deposited our stuff at the lockers in Esprit if not I wouldnt wan to walk to SOGo with so many bags of clothes and smemore in the rain. We were really really tired aft going to many other places too. (but din buy anything). I guess partly it's bcos of the rain too. It's really troublesome to carry an umbrella and so many bags of clothes. So we took a bus back to Hotel 1st to put the stuff and dry ourself.
In the evening, we dragged (cos rain din stop and we were so tired) ourselves to Ladies mkt aft we had a late lunch cum early dinner. There wasnt many pple there cos of the rain so we were thinking tat it should b much easier to get the price we want. However, there are still some rude shop owners who die die wont sell it at the price we want. Ladies mkt is jus like pasar malan in sg but stalls are arranged in a squre in sg as compared to one stretch of stalls in HK. Initially we carried our umbrella to shop around but it's really troublesome to open and close the umbrella so we walked in the rain. It was very cold and wet... Haiz.. really not in the mood to shop... I got a few more pairs of shoes and some clothes there b4 heading back to hotel. SK finally bought smthing --- shades. We din have dinner so we decided to grab a bite b4 going to bed. I wont go back sg if we din try any seafood in HK so we went to have seafood at one of the coffeshops near Temple St. It's really strange tat shops dun open early for us to have breakfast but they open till very late for us to have supper... Anyway, we tried a few dishes recommended by the uncle. Hmm... I forgot the name of the seafood but it look like prawn yet like crayfish and it looks translucent alive. I go ask SK then tell u wat it is.
HK Trip (Day 5 --- Last Day)
When we woke up, we got this sianz feeling cos it's raining again. We had to pull our luggage, carry umbrella to go buy lao po bing. Oh no.. I couldnt imagine tat. But we had no choice cos tat shop tat my frend recommend closed very early the night b4. Aft getting lao po bing, we headed to Ferry Terminal to grab a bite for taking a ferry to Macau. We wanted to go to one of the casinos there. Well, of cos to see see lah... We went to Sands. I was really amazed by how big it is and its deco... nicer and bigger than Genting's... We hang around in the casino for an hr b4 taking a cab to Macau airport to catch a flight back sg.
I really din feel like cming back sg though... I would definitely go holiday in HK again... HK, wait for me....
Sands Casino
Not supposed to take pic in casino but 偷偷took this in the toilet.
See... even the toilet is so nice...

HK Trip (Part II)
Went to Zouk last night. It's my 1st time there aft their renovation. Well, everything is the same except there are more deco plus a fountain in the toilet. B4 going, I was feeling sianz, probably bcos haven club for a long time and I guess the age is catching up. But I really enjoyed myself when I was there. Mamboo still rocks... Anyway, even though I din drink much, I could feel myself immersed in the music... I guess i will go again if there's chance and if i can get permission... Hee... Oh ya... I saw smthing disgusting. Saw two guys french kissing. They were right bside me when we were dancing. 1st time I saw gays kissing. Haiz..
Ok, as promised, I will continue to tell you more abt my HK trip... On the 2nd day in HK, we woke up early in the morning as SK's parents are早起的鸟儿. But in HK, 早起的鸟儿没虫吃. I realised that shops there dun open so early, they open only aft 11am. Well, I had no choice but to drag myself out of the bed and get prepared to set off to Lantau Hill to see the Giant Buddha. Well, I was super tired and feeling sick (caught a flu and kept sneezing) and so unluckily, we couldnt find any place to have our breakfast. Finally we had western breakfast at a Cha Can Ting 茶餐厅. The food there was so so only.. Aft breakfast, we set off to the MTR station. On our way there, we saw a Dim Sum restaurant and SK and his parents decided to have 2nd round of breakfast there. I almost puked.. Already I was feeling sick and the 1st round of breakfast was really oily that I really had no appetite for Dim Sum, regardless of how delicious it could be. I had no choice but to jus ate a piece of chestnut cake (my fav though). ( See photos)
After seeing the Buddha, we headed to Mui Wo Ferry Terminal to take a Ferry to Central. On our way down the hill, there was a sign board saying "Beware of Cattles". I din see any though but my frend who was there saw. I guess bcos it's a village so tat's why there are cattles.
We wanted to go to The Peak at around 5pm but it was still early when we reached Central, so we went to a shopping mall (forgot the name) to R & R. As I did not have any lunch, we had Macdonalds there. Nothing different frm the one in Sg. A ft a quick bite, we had a walk at Zara, Mango and some other shops there to see if there were any great buy. The clothes at Zara are equally as expensive as the ones here... So we tooked a bus to the Peak Tram Terminal.
The experience at the peak tram uphill was amazing. We were like 45 degrees hanging in the air. I really dunno how to describe it. You really mus go there and experience it yourself. (See photos)
Wow... the scenery at the Peak was more superb than the one at Lantau Hill. Nothing can describe how I felt then... (See photos)

Besides seeing the scenery and resting at the peak, SK and I bought tix to Madame Tussads Wax Museum while SK's parents walked around the shopping mall there. As it was jus opened, there werent many visitors. We took many (really alot) of photos there. All funny poses. But I was really happy. Haha.. (See photos) However, if SK's parents werent not waiting outside, we would have spend many hours in there.

Aft the peak, we took the tram back to Central and took a cab to Lai Kwai Fung 兰桂坊. Well, we din really walk aound Lai Kwai Fung cos SK's parents din seem interested and they were hungry and tired. So we reserved a table at the famous Roast Goose Restaurant at Wellingston St. As we had to wait for at least an hr for our table, we walked around the place but many shops were closed b4 9pm so there wasnt anything much for us to see. Haiz.. if only we could go Lai Kwai Fung instead. I heard frm my frends that it was a nice place. If only I could club there too... Aft an hr, we went back to the restuarant and ordered their famous goose 烧鹅and pork烧猪. (See photos) I found the food there not bad as compared to those at any Cha Can Ting茶餐厅 but SK's parents were complaining that the food was too oily and only so so.. They dun understand why so many pple queue up to eat here. But at least I dun mind spending more to eat better food. I guess we have diff taste then.
Supposed to go SoHo (South of Hollywood) but SK's parents were tired so we headed back to our hotel. However, managed to catch a glimpse of how the mid-levels escalator look like before we leave the place. (See photos). Check it out why it's called mid-levels escalator. It's interesting...
Actually SK's father were tired but his mum was still energetic so we decided to accompany his dad back to hotel first and I changed to my specs b4 accompany his mum to Temple St near our hotel. I felt quite bad to throw his dad alone in the hotel but SK said tat it would be fine.
Actually there wasnt anything much at Temple St so we went back to hotel empty handed. I wanted to buy a very nice, look sophiscated mirror there but the price was too high. Till now, I really regret not buying one back.
Ok, I shall stop here again. Feeling sleepy. Will continue to tell you more abt my trip in my next few posts.
