Day 3: 14 Dec
Decided to go to just 2 places on Day 3 cos I wasnt feeling tat well. Had sme breads b4 walking to Xime
n MRT. Passed by Red Playhouse so went in to take a look. It's a theatre for alot of performances such as drama, opera, etc.

Red Playhouse 红楼剧场

We wanted to go to the wholesale fashion mkt 五分埔服饰商圈 so we took MRT to HouShanPi MRT but we were too early. The shops opened from 2pm onwards. Thus, we took MRT back to Taipei City Hall station.

There's a free shuttle bus outside the station to Taipei 101. But if you choose to walk, it will take aout 20mins.

As Xmas was near, the bus driver dressed up as a Santa Claus and the bus was decorated with balloons. So nice...

See the balloons on the bus...

Went for a tour @ Taipei 101 Observatory /Audio Tour. It was quite misty tat day so we couldnt see clear from the building. SK and I agreed tat the night view would be better.

It's quite amazing that the lift took only 37 secs to reach 89th storey from the 5th storey... Tat's real fast...

Pretending to look into the binoculars.

There's a audio machine that looks like a phone. You can listen to the introduction of the places around Taipei 101. Really know quite alot after the audio tour

This is taken from the building. Very blur right?

This is the map at the building.

Taipei 101. Curled ruyi figures appear throughout the building as a design motif. The ruyi, or "magic mushroom", is an ancient artistic motif connoting heavenly clouds, healing, and fulfilment. The symbol confers protection and marks the attainment of new career heights.

We had lunch at the foodcourt at New York New York which is opposite Taipei 101. The food wasnt cheap so we shared a set meal, not bad though.

Once again, we took MRT back to HouShanPi MRT. By then, all shops were opened. It's really very big and they really sell lots of things... But as it's winter season, the clothes there were all so thick and long sleeves. Was v disappointed that I din get anything much. Was also tired from all the walking.

Next destination was Raohe Night Mkt 饶河街观光夜市which is opposite the rear of Songshan Railway Station. Actually it's a distance walk frm the Station. There's really lots of food and clothes, shoes and bags to buy. Personally I feel it's much better than Wufenpu.

We have to pass by a railway track and wait for the train to pass b4 crossing the road.

There's alot of pple queueing up for this 胡椒饼. SK bought one, not bad. It's like fried bun.

However, I was feeling tired and sick that we just walked awhile b4 heading back to hotel by train 火车 (one stop away from Taipei Main Station)

See.. so few things...
