No time to write too detailed. If you wan the itinerary for my Taipet trip, pls let me know.

Day 2: 13 Dec
We went to have breakfast at the famous beef noodles shop. 2 choices: plain soup or spicy soup. So we took one of each. The noodles were quite alot but not too bad. The beef was v tender...

After breakfast, we took MRT to Zhongxiao Fuxing Station and took a Keelung bus right outside the station to Gold Ecological Park 黄金博物馆园区 @ JinGuaShi. It was a long journey and it poured on our way up the mountain.

The tix for the Park is quite cheap. If i din rem wrongly, it's NT200 for the admission to four places in the park plus gold panning experience. (Note that there are specific timings for gold panning.) It also included a bus trip to JiuFen. The view and weather @ the park is superb... Nice scenery on the mountain and cooling weather.

The famous beef noodles

See the nice scenery behind me

Our 1st gold panning experience

In-front of the old railway track which was once used to transport the gold

The biggest piece of gold (220 in the world, displayed at the Museum of Gold 黄金博物院. Can see, can touch but cannot bring home.

Beware of SNAKES

One of the Japanese Prince used to live there. 太子宾馆

At Environmental Building 环境馆. The ore display area inside the building introduces numerous special and rare ores produced in the area, allowing the public to acquire an understanding of the special Jinguashi geology.

At the Four-Joined of Japanese Residence 生活美学体验坊. It was built by Japanese to house the employees during the colonial era

After our experience @ Gold Ecological Park, we went to JiuFen to eat. Pls alight at JiuFen 7-11 and turn left to the street tat sells lots of 小吃. We managed to find the famous 阿柑姨芋圆(really nice but the shop is really hard to find. Better ask around) and 草阿糕 (a green colour 糕. Sk tried so I din noe how it taste like). We even tried 臭豆腐, but the toufu are cut into small cubes and fried till v crispy, not as 臭as we thought. There's also v nice Jap yogurt mochi. Really nice but din buy cos dunno how to store till we return SIN.
The smelly 臭豆腐that makes SK feel like fainting or sleeping?

The really really nice 芋圆. Can someone in SIN pls sell this?

At around 6pm (it turn dark very early in Taipei), we took a bus at the street opposite 7-11 to Keelung 庙口. It's also a street tat sells many food. It also hard to find so must tell the bus driver to inform you to alight at 全家福鞋店. Then you have to walk a distance b4 reaching 庙口. The variety of food is about the same as those we saw at Huaxi St Mkt so we only tried the 烧仙草,咖哩饭and炸鸡排.
At the 庙口老街

Our dinner, 咖哩饭. Too tired, no appetite to eat anything else.

Took the last train 火车(not MRT) from Keelung Station back to Taipei Main Station. Though it's 火车, it's not v fast cos there are many stations in between.
On the train back to hotel. See our fatigue faces...

Walked around our hotel in Ximending. Was trying to look for the 美国街 tat a friend recommend. Managed to find but the shops were closed.

There are many cinemas in Ximending

See... the pple in Taipei can paint these on the shops... Nice piece of art
